Very excited and extremely privileged to be asked to be part of ‘From the Ground Up: The Transformation of Irish Clay’. Curated by the wonderful John Goode of Mill Cove Gallery, Kenmare, Kerry, Ireland, this exhibition will bring together approximately 40 ceramic artists from across the island of Ireland, who have helped support and shape the vision of Mill Cove Gallery over the years. It is intended as a strong, coherent national statement on contemporary Irish ceramics, presented in a premier public venue and shine a light on the very best of contemporary ceramic practice in Ireland—its artistry, curiosity, innovation, and deeply rooted craft traditions.
I am in the process of creating new work for this exhibition which will be taking place in two venues, the National Design & Craft Gallery, Design & Crafts Council Ireland, Castle Yard, Kilkenny, R95 CAA6, Ireland, and Mill Cove Gallery, 21 Main St, Kenmare, Co. Kerry, V93 X4DX, Ireland.
